Also see <ftp://nssdc.gsfc.nasa.gov/CDAWlib/> for the sourc used in the
CDF web browser <http://cdaweb.gsfc.nasa.gov/>. read_myCDF.pro reads the
data into an IDL structure with its meta info (Xread_mycdf.pro is a GUI to
select a CDF and call read_myCDF.pro). You can plot the variablename.DATA
values pretty much as normal, or use one of the plot routines in the
library (although they depend on certain metadata being available).

You can find the documentation in th online help if you open the book
about Reading and Writing Scientific Data Formats.

Goto "Contents" Open "Other Online boks" that should get you there...

"Using IDL" contains information about plotting.
ftp://ftp.rsinc.com/pub/idl/info/docs/using.pdf

"Scientific Data Formats" contains information about reading data from CDF,
netCDF, HDF, and HDF-EOS formats.
ftp://ftp.rsinc.com/pub/idl/info/docs/df.pdf

Cheers,
Liam.
