When I use PvWave's call_vms to invoke a C program I often get:

%SYSTEM-F-ASTFLT, AST fault, SP=001149D9, param=03C00000, PC=00000000, PSL=00000000, target PC=00000000, PSL=00000000
% CALL_VMS: Error in called routine.
% Execution halted at ESMP <DCS:[ACONRAD.ESMP.PRO]ESMP.PRO;49( 15)> (CALL_VMS).
% Called from $MAIN$ .

It seems to occur after the program has executed for aproximately 100 seconds.
The program can be as simple as an infinite loop.

Does call_vms set up some sort of watchdog timer? If so, is there a
mechanism for disabling it?

Thank you very much in advance,

Al Conrad
