Hi,
I would like to know how to program in envi? More specifically,
I want to be able to do a K-Means classification of a large number of
images and hence want to write a program to do it.

I would appreciate if you could help me out.

PS- I do not have the ENVI Programmer's guide.

some questions:1) do you need to know how to implement a K-Means algo?
 2) do you need to access to images having an ENVI header to use
some function written in ENVI
 (tiles processing, ROI management, ENVI widget etc)?

I am developing an interactive system (image processing and numerical
analysis) to check the quality of the products that will be generated by
the new ESA (European Space Agency) satellite ENVISAT. This system is integrated
in ENVI and interacts with ENVI.

Tell us what do you need.
