Re: IDL newsletter now available via ftp

Good day,

This is to inform you that you can now access the latest IDL
NEWS newsletter files via anonymous ftp. The site is the
same one at which you download the latest version of IDL.
Please read the readme file enclosed. If you use any
IDL/ENVI images for your own publications, please
attribute them to Research Systems unless otherwise noted.

The name of the directory: RSI_Newsletter
Names of subdirectories: Text/
Images/

Directions:
* ftp to gateway.rsinc.com
* login as anonymous
* Enter your email address as the password
* cd to the pub directory
* The newsletter files are located in the RSI_Newsletter
directory.

What is included:
I have made available txt files of all newsletter articles in a
subdirectory called TEXT. The images used in the hardcopy
editions are all GIF files and they are available in a
subdirectory called IMAGES. As an added bonus, I have
also included several ENVI images which depict screen
shots of our newest application for remote sensing/image
processing.

If you are not currently on our GROUND mailing list and
you wish to receive the IDL newsletter, please email your
name, organization and physical address to:
brandi@rsinc.com. Do not mail your requests to me.
Please clearly indicate in your email to Brandi that you wish
to be added to our newsletter mailing list. Thanks and good
luck.
