This might be slightly esoteric, but here goes.

If the bytscl operation is applied to an RGB image, are subsequent
color convertions (i.e. RGB to HLS/HSV) still valid or has the
relationship been made invalid by the scaling? I will probably
just remove the scaling and compare the conversions to test, but
if anyone knows some color theory, please respond.
