I am having an interesting (frustrating) problem with IDL 5.1 under
Win98. When I make a plot, to a window (direct graphics) I lose
windows GDI resources. Now this would be expected, but as I continue
to work, I lose more and more with every plot. Even oplots give me
GDI losses. When I close the plot window, I don't get back the
memory. In fact, it doesn't come back until I close IDL. This is a
very strange behavior and needless to say, inconvienient. I have to
keep exiting and restarting to keep working. The FAQ is unavailable,
but I can't find any references to this problem. Any ideas?
