We support an ancient VAXstation running OpenVMS 6.1 to run a simple
IDL app that displays images downloaded via ftp, totally hands off.
Naturally, the Powers That Be want everything that walks like a computer
to be y2k compliant, and the lowest-version y2k pack from Digital, er,
Compaq is for VAX/VMS V6.2.
Does anyone know where to find what version of IDL was supported on
what version of each OS? Neither the RSI Web site nor the IDL FAQ appears
to have this infdormation (though the FAQ G05 covers what the current
version runs on, and when platform support was dropped).
In particular, since this machine runs a "legacy" IDL 4 license, I
need to know whether it will run under later versions of VAX/VMS.
