Howdy,
<p>Last week I had asked how to get the symbol objects associated with
a IDLgrPolyLine or IDLgrPlot to use the colors specified in the Vert_Colors
keyword.&nbsp; RSI tech support kindly provided the answer...
<p>To plot 10 (or some number) symbols, each with its own color, I must
define 10 different symbols.&nbsp;&nbsp; The Symbol field of IDLgrPlot
and IDLgrPolyLine may contain on or more instances of symbol definitions.
<p>I often use the color of a plot symbol as a representation of some nominative
value (like 'Gravel' or 'Rockweed') superimposed&nbsp; upon spatial info
(like X, Y and depth.)
