Hi there,
I try to analyse videosequences captured in the MS AVI-fileformat. Does
anyone know a possibility to read such avi's in IDL ?
I hope I can do this without knowing binary structure of these files !
Thanks for dealing with my problems !

I had the same problem. The only solution was to write a Visual C++ dll
to read the video file, and then use IDL's call_external routine (Visual
C++ can use ActiveX's for reading AVI's), and just make sure that I was
pointing to the correct place in memory!
