Calling external C or FORTRAN routines from IDL on RS6000 [message #174]

My IDL manual says that it is only possible to call external C or FORTRAN
routines on Suns and Vaxes, but the manual also has no mention of
RS6000s. Is it possible to call external C or FORTRAN routines from
IDL on an RS6000?
