There is no tarrif at least for the software/computer imports
here in Japan. Actually certain models of Macintosh computers are
cheaper than in the U.S. and sell very well ( unlike US automobiles).

I doubt it. RSI used to accept international orders for the same price
as in the U.S. A couple of years ago, they suddenly refused to sell directly
to oversea customers. In stead, they forced us to buy from their 'exclusive
local dealer' for the local price, which is two times higher than U.S. price.
