Hi again,
I'm just full of second-hand requests this week. Another IDL user here
is having some frustration with using the builtin TQLI routine for
finding eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix. It consistently
'flips out' with a message about 'too many iterations'. It seems that
the problem is in the 'fatness' of the zero-test, or the impatience of
TQLI, neither of which is controllable.
Does anyone have a more robust/flexible routine for finding eigenvalues
and eigenvectors?
Any help is appreciated in advance,
-Dick
