Hehe, can you tell I'm a IDL widget beginner? This is my first full
blown IDL widget program from scratch. I was pleased that it basically
worked as intended but obvious I'm living recklessly! :) Thanks for the
advice, I did consider putting the graphics window in a draw widget but,
as you noticed, I wanted to have it open in a separate window and was
having some difficulty getting that to work properly. I'll dig up a copy
of your book and study up. I'm suspicious hat my immediate problem
probably is with setting the !X.window variable in the postscript
output. Thanks again!
