PV-WAVE used to license IDL from RSI (creators of IDL) and repackage
it as PV-WAVE. The licensing agreement was terminated last year when
PV purchased a copy of the IDL source. This means PV WAVE does not
have and will not get any of the newer features of IDL. I chose to
stay with RSI who developed the technology, but potential buyers
should contact both companies to see if direction they are heading in
corresponds with your needs as compatibility between IDL and WAVE
is no longer guaranteed.
