As of version 5.3, IDL can export object graphics in vector form. The
supported formats are EPS, WMF (Windows only) and PICT (Mac only). It is
done by creating an IDLgrClipboard object and drawing to it with the VECTOR
keyword set. I have used this facility under Windows, exporting from IDL and
importing into MS Word, and found it works OK--I prefer WMF format.
