I am trying to overlay a map onto a dataset using mapset in combination
with map_image. Mapset produces a map within the specified latitude, longitude
range, and then map_image in principal is suppose to warp the data image to
fit the map projection. The problem I am having is that when I call map
image it returns only an image with data. The map is absent. It is clear that
the map is being produced because the map is drawn before the call to map_image
Moreover, as a test I plotted a point using plots and it plotted the point
correctly given a latitude and longitude value. My question then is how do
I get map_image to return the image with the map overlayed. Any help would
be greatly appreciated.
