Hi,

When an item in a list widget is selected, I would like its label to be
copied to the X clipboard (ideally the Mac and Windows clipboards too, but
I have no way to test those). Is anyone aware of a way to do this?

Why don't label or list widgets support selection, anyway? If I try
selecting text in them with mouse-1, nothing happens. If I try
selecting text with mouse-2 instead, a symbol with two sheets of paper
and an equals sign pops up, which looks encouraging. Then when I release
the button, there is a little animation where the symbol goes back to its
original location and then IDL crashes with a segfault.

using IDL 5.1 on Debian 2.1

thanks,
