I have a file which was written with PV-WAVE (I believe) but I need to
read it in IDL. The file contains 2 formatted reals, a cr-lf pair
(record separators I assume) and 1024 binary integers. I can read the
formatted nos. but I only get 20 integers instead of the 1024 I should
be getting before IDL reports end of file. I believe the file was
written on WinNT (although I don't know what version of PV-WAVE) and I'm
trying to read it with IDL 5.3.1 on WinNT.

Has anyone else tried to read a PV-WAVE file using IDL? Successfully?
Any suggestions?
