Hi Everybody!

Does anybody have experience in "terrain normalisation" of satellite
images?
As I'm working with NOAA-AVHRR data of the whole Swiss Alps, my idea is
to calculate a raster image in order to determine pixelwise the angle
between the incoming sun radiation and the normal to the surface.
It would be a great help for me, if anybody could give me some
information about such/similar routines.
