Hi,
My widget applications has three columns of widget_droplists (for
choosing a combination of parameters for data processing). Of these,
each droplist in the first column sontains strings in the form
'mm-dd-yyy', and the other two contain just string arrays ['0', '1',
'2', '3', '4']. Once this system is realized, everything looks (and
works) fine, except that droplists with one-digit numbers appear
excessively wide. If I hide and map another base, a child of a child of
the top base, those wide droplists resize by themselves, reducing their
width, and leave "shadows" of themselves on a newly positioned vertical
scroll bar. I am wondering, why in the first place the droplists are so
wide, and second, if their default size (which is not controlled by
XSIZE) is wide, they why do they shrink? A quirk in the Mac toolbox?
I run IDL 5.3 on PPC.
Thank you,
Pavel
