It's good to know we're not wackos when it comes to IDL and MacX...
My previous message about MacX and IDL was short because
my program crashed with longer messages. Anyway, I saw two
of your messages. Before I digest them, let me say this:
We seem to be having more success using a terminal emulator
(e.g. Versa-Term PRO) to start IDL and using MacX to receive
the X-window commands only. That is, don't log on using MacX
but have it running. After logging on, set the DISPLAY env.
variable to the ethernet address of your computer with :0.0
e.g. 128.111.22.33:0.0
We'll keep trying...
