I too am interested in this (but don't have time to do the
programming!). I asked a similar question a few months ago but got no
reply so I guess the general readership of this NG doesn't include
optical flow analysts. Shame as it would be really useful. If you're
interested in getting optical flow algorithms in C then take a look at:
http://www.cs.cmu.edu/~cil/txtv-source.html
and look for optic flow. The link to John Barrons site appeared to be
not working when I tried it, but that may be temporary.
I would be very grateful if you could contact me if you do find any IDL
code for optic flow.
