And so the IDLers, weary from their day of frantic posting, go to their
beds.

"Oh I wish, I *wish*," they say to themselves, "that *my* wish makes David's
top 10." And in the small hours when dark thoughts arise they will think, "I
hope, I *hope* that there *will* be a top 10. Surely David would never let
us down." For, as a very wise man has said, "IDL users are ever hopeful but
never satisfied."

And on the other side of the world, where people are getting ready to go to
their homes in the winter evening, a few persistent souls notice that a calm
has descended on comp.lang.idl-pvwave.
