WMENU on IDL for Windows [message #2140]

I've just been looking at IDL for windows, and apparently the WMENU
routine is not supported. The documentation says that this is an
outdated routine and widgets are a much better solution, which
doesn't really help much if you've got lots of routines already
written which use WMENU. Does anyone have a routine for the
Windows version which does exactly what WMENU did? I would be very
grateful.

Anyway, the problem with widgets is that they are different in IDL
and PV-Wave (not to mention being harder to program), and one of the
advantages of using IDL/PV-Wave is being able to use other people's
code.
