Dear all,

I'm quite familiar with PV-WAVE, but in the future I'll also deal with
IDL. I know that they are quite similar, but that there are also
important differences. Can anyone tell me if there is any guide/FAQ to
these differences, which might help me to avoid severe mistakes and
could make me exploit IDL optimally?
I'd also be interested in some background history about WAVE and IDL !
