Hi,
I've been using DataMiner for some time now, with Oracle 8. It seems to work
fully as advertised, although I have a few items on my wish list. Chapter 2
in the DataMiner manual (datamine.pdf) gives a good overview of how it
works.
I see that mySQL has ODBC support which *should* be all that's required for
it to work, but there are always exceptions. If you're running Windows NT,
and in ODBC Control Panel you can set up a System Data Source or File Data
Source to your DB, that's a great start. In Windows 2000 Pro... uh, I
recently upgraded, where did ODBC go?... ah: Control Panel:Administrative
Tools:Data Sources (ODBC).
Drop me a line or post here if there's a question I can help with.
