Landsat 7 and IDL Insight [message #21540]

Hi all,

Recently I purchased the sample Landsat 7 agriculture data set from the
USGS. The file format is HDF, which IDL Insight opens but I was
wondering how do I get an actual image from these data sets? Iï¿½m
currently running IDL 5.2 on a SG O2 and when I access these files IDL
freezes and then stops operating.

Could this be a hardware problem as the SG is getting a bit long in the
tooth?

Any suggestions or other programs to retrieve the data?

Martin, did you *really* reply at 2:59 AM or is it my browser's time conversion?
I'll echo the opinion, as it seems to me that the question should be not
"Landsat and Insight" but "how do I avoid In *sigh* t :-(
