I've noticed that the width of tab stops in IDL text widgets seems to be set to
some large number, such as 10 or 12, while the ordinary behavior of the editor
(e.g. EDT, EMACS) used to create the file uses a standard tab stop of 8
characters. Thus, the appearance of the file in the text widget is quite
different than the appearance of the file when it was being created. Things
that line up when editing the file don't line up when viewing it. Is there any
way around this?
