I have been having trouble making color GIF file with make_gif in IDL
v3.1. I remember some comments that there were problems with this
procedure. Is there a fix or is it more likely that I am doing
something wrong. Thanks

Hi,

I am not aware of any color problems for write_gif (but I haven't played
with the colors to much either). But I can say the RSI is currently
working on the sporadic write_gif errors (truncated gif files) and I
hope there will be a fix soon.
