Everyone,

Lets say I had a widget to select and load a file, and another widget (a
label) that displayed the name of the file that was loaded...

If I then loaded another file, how would I get the label to "update" (i.e.
remove and recreate the label widget) ??

I have another similar problem - a widget that displays a datafile that does
not update to reflect new values when the datafile has been changed...

Any ideas??

Best wishes,

Andy

Here's an idea. Look for one of those specials RSI
holds occasionally where they update a PV-WAVE license
to an IDL license for the price of a PV-WAVE maintenance
contract. Life is a *whole* lot easier with IDL widgets. :-)

Cheers,

David

Yup, we did that, and I must concurr! Wave widgets seemed considerably
more baroque than the IDL ones from my limited experience with both.
