Greetings all,
I was wondering if a library satellite data processing
functions are available somewhere on the net.
I've found Liam Gumley's page with IMAGEMAP, which
looks useful (I just took a quicky look at it, however it
looks like I will have to modify it slightly to plot vectors
rather than scalers).

I'm starting a new project crunching a huge amount of
satellite data (woohoo fun!).

I'm getting a 2d vector (wind) measured (irregularly sampled)
at lat, lon and time.
I'm thinking of perhaps doing some 3d krigging to create an
"interpolated image" of the wind field, then moving on
to some kind of multiresolution data adaptive (Kalman)
filtering/interpolation solution
(to interpolate and rebin the data into a snapshot, i.e. regular lat and lon
sampled all at the same time).

So if that is already done, that would be GREAT! It would save me about
two years of work! (Of course, then I'd be unemployed for two years,
bummer!)

Also, if there are methods people have used to do this type of analysis,
any discussion or pointers to papers etc. would be much appreciated.

Cheers,
