I have a maybe trivial problem concerning UNIX file attributes. Is there
a way of MANIPULATING the unix file attributes from IDL? They are easy
to read using FSTAT. I wrote a program for scientific neutron scattering
data reduction which is used by many users on a UNIX server. Then
problem: they log-in with their accounts and the corresponing output
file are written with the read-only file atribute.
