Background colors in PNG files? [message #22887] Tue, 12 December 2000 14:14

Is there some way to control the background color when writing to a PNG
file so it appears consistently (independent of the viewer
application)? I write PNG files using code that works fine for GIFs and
Postscript files, but the background color in the PNGs seems to change
every time the file is viewed (or reloaded if using a browser). I'm
assuming that this is a problem with PNG, but I'm also hoping that
someone has found a way to solve it. Thanks.
