I'm trying to write a PNG file through IDL command WRITE_PNG.
The directory where I want to write does not belong to me but to another
user of the same group and the group permission is set to rwx (as well as
the world permission as a try).
IDL refuses to write the file and gives me "WRITE_PNG: Error opening
file..."

I can create files there without problems from outside IDL.

Background: SGI, IRIX 6.5.8, IDLDE 5.4 (IRIX mipseb)
