Aspect Ratio problem [message #2405] Wed, 06 July 1994 16:06 Go to next message

Could somebody that may have done this before tell me: what is the
easiest way of plotting, in PostScript, an image with a contour overlaid,
and at the same time preserving the aspect ratio (square pixels)?

I am able to produce contour-overlaid-image plots, but the aspect ratio gets
messed up. And, it gets worse when I play around with the POSITION
variable, =8-o

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance

Possible silly question: What is 'the aspect ratio'?

Ohhh. You mean that when printed, the contour is no longer directly
over the image??

I am confusded about what the problem is. I presume it is the
standard postscript confusing cause by scalable pixel sizes, etc..
Please elaborate.
