I am working with gridded ocean model data and netCDF files.
Basically, I have data which is higher resolution near
the equator, and lower resolution at mid-latitude. The
netCDF files include the grid axes as well as the data. I want
to know if there is a way to associate the grid with the idl
image so that when I TV the image, it gets scaled according to
the axes I give it, ie I want to associate the data and
the axes. I've done this in PlotPlus before, in fact, PlotPlus
seems to do it automatically with netCDF files...

Should I be using the map features somehow? They seem to only
accept a start and stop lat/lon, not really an uneven grid.

Much thanks in advance for suggestions...
