IDL does not allow the /COMPRESS and /f77_unformatted keywords to be set
simultaneously in the openr statement. Does anybody know of a
workaround (and why the combination is not permitted). I need to carry
out both operations (decompress and read f77 data) on the same file
within an IDL session.
