Hello *,
we recently decided to use IDL in the future with the
experimental data we collect here. I will receive a
30-days test-license soon and already read some pages
in the online-manuals. One question that could not be
answered by RTFM is the following:
Is it -in principle- possible to use the dataminer
in combination with a mySQL-Database? There is a
ODBC-Driver for mySQL but I have not seen any
"success-stories" in the archive at groups.google.com!
A very special question: The tables in our mySQL-database
contain fields with type DATETIME. According to the manual
there is no corresponding IDL-Type to DATETIME, will I
be able to use these tables at all in IDL?
Greetings,
Olaf
