More and more journals like to have my images camera ready as
CMYK coded. Raster images are only good if they are not
resized.

That's why I think about a filter for the postscript code
or how to program it in postscript or for ghostscript.

Well, Photoshop likes images, so it imports IDL-produced
PostScript output as raster images. (I usually set the
import resolution to my printer resolution.) But I think
you could probably get vector PostScript in, say, Illustrator
(although I haven't used this in a long, long time).

What do you need CYMK output for?

Cheers,

David

Dear David,

is the result a vector postscript or is it something
like an embedded image?
