Hello all,

after a few days of experience I try to write my
first functions for easy handling of data stored in
ODBC-sources. I think I have a good idea in what
direction I should go but discussion with people who
already have experience with the two objects
IDLDBDatabase and IDLDBRecordset would be nice.

I already tried to find functions related to these
topics in some of the avaible IDL-resources (libraries)
but without success.

I for myself find this way of accessing large amounts of data
rather easy and straightforward. I can encourage everybody
to use this approach although the implementation of
ODBC-access seems to need some additional features (could be
also my lack of experince in IDL-programming...)

Your comments?

Olaf,
with best wishes for the coming weekend!
