Actually, if you are using a Windows PC as X-terminal, or have it
on your desk near the Sun, then I do have a suggestion: download the
IDL help file from RSI, this uses the native Windows help viewer.
Works like a treat.

Yep, although a few years ago. Probably IDL 5.0, and SunOS. Complained to
the sysadmin, who didn't really know what to do about it. The problem
suddenly disappeared.

I figure it might have to do with colors or with fonts. Both are way out
of my league.

Giving advice like this would be grounds for justifiable (virtual) homicide
on a Unix newsgroup!
