disappearing text - online help widget [message #26735]

suddenly a very wierd thing has happened to my idl on-line help.

the widget appears and for an instant the text appears (as usual) then
it disappears. I can use the mouse to view some portion of the text (like
i was selecting it to copy and paste) but it is only about helf the text
(width wise) and generally garbled.

has any one else gotten this ? can anyone suggest possible things i can
go to my sys admin with (so far i have been unable to explain to him what
this error might be caused by to his satisfaction)

SunOS, versions 5.3 and 5.4 of IDL (and also envi) - as i said, suddenly
started to do this

all (reasonable) suggestions will be considered!!

No, but you never know when inflammatory material like yours will fall into
the wrong hands. Others are watching...
