Making draw widget areas that are bigger than the screen area [message #26758]

HI,
I am having difficulties with making the draw area larger than the displayable
screen area. If I do this and then scroll the page across to look at other area
random events happen e.g. the draw area jumping to negative x/y positions or
the screen graphics don't seem to cope or int he worst case it crashes the
software.
Is this a known problem or am id doing something wrong?
