I would like to display randomly oriented multiple image strips obtained
from an airborne scanner on a map base. I am not sure if I am approching
it the right way. As far as I can tell, I need to

(1) rotate each image strip into a new image which is oriented N/S, after
figuring out exactly how large the new image needs to be so that the image
just fits without cutting off the corners
(2) establish a map projection using map_set
(3) warp the image to the map projection using map_image

Am I approaching this the right way? Perhaps somebody already has some
procedures written which simplify the task.

Cheers,
Liam.
