No, it is based on "license units". We told them we were using PCs and
Linux, which use 6 "license units" per active seat. Thus, we got 300 units.
"lmstat -a" showed that this was the case, we actually could have 50
simultaneous users. In fact we have converted some of our licenses to
"dongles" so we could travel with PCs, so we have somewhat fewer than 300
license units on the server now.

I think this "50 licenses" thing is a bit misleading. I believe that
my small research group has 50 licenses, but *10* are used for each
session. I have no idea of the reasoning behind this, but net result
is that we only have 5 effective seats instead of 50.

Is this the same experience that other people have?
