I have a .tga (Truevision Targa image file) that I would like to
read in to IDL maintaining the colors.

I am running on a SunLX Solairs 2.3.

I have used imtool (SDSC Images Tools) to conver the .tga file to
a .ras file. The .ras file become 24 bit color file. If I try to read in the
24 bit .ras file using read_srf I get an EOF message.

What do I need to do to be able to read in the image.
