Not that we'll find too many uses for such a mouthful, but indeed the
noun is a direct derived form, as indicated in the original definition.
The fact that it has another meaning in another hemisphere is not
surprising. Perhaps it makes sense though, as in "before you become
ancient , archaic , obsolete , and old, sock away a pension". The full
frontal honesty of Oz.

We in the land of Oz will take this in the spirit in which it is written.
(and answered - Gday to DWF too!).

But for the pedantic, the salary referred to 'superannuation' not
'superannuated'; two quite different terms. In Oz Speak,
'superannuation' equates to something like "Employer contributions to
compulsory Pension Plan" which is an extra 9% minimum.

Now it's my turn to retire (for the day).

Michael Asten

Only those who haven't created an object yet. :-)

Cheers,

David

P.S. I thought superannuated referred to the weekly
allocation of Victoria Bitter.
