Yes I know this sounds simple, and it probably is, but for the sake of
young guns like me why don't we humor me. I want to know what command I
can run to get the widget ID of the supplied widget.

Something along the lines of:

slider = WIDGET_SLIDER(etc...)

WIDGET_INFO, slider, GET_ID
or something of the like?
