Visual Numerics, Inc. is proud to announce TS-WAVE 3.0 for time-series data
analysis. With the 3.0 release, TS-WAVE, which was originally developed by
Visual Numerics' Consulting Services Group at the request of a major
air-frame manufacturer, becomes a member of the PV-WAVE product family. This
signifies that TS-WAVE is now a full-fledged product with on-going technical
support and online help.

TS-WAVE is a customizable time-series analysis application written in Visual
Numerics' PV-WAVE, an open environment for developing and deploying Visual
Data Analysis (VDA) applications that help customers turn raw data into
meaningful information. TS-WAVE was the first commercially-available
solution capable of performing numerous flight test data analysis tasks
within one environment. Since the release of Version 1.0 in April 1999,
TS-WAVE has attracted more than 200 users worldwide. The industries with the
greatest concentration of TS-WAVE users are airframe manufacturing,
satellite manufacturing, and automotive test engineering.

The three most significant new features of Version 3.0 are:

. The ability to combine data from different files as input to the analysis
and graphing object. With this new feature, data from past flight tests can
be easily compared to current test data. Many flights can now be viewed
side-by-side and predictive or simulation data can be easily compared to
actual collected data. The result is more accurate predictions and
comparisons;

. The addition of the Contour Graph Object, which extends the traditional
X-Y plotting capabilities of TS-WAVE to include 2-D contour plots; and

. The ability to develop custom data handlers for proprietary file formats.
With version 3.0, the improved data handlers greatly simplify the level of
implementation needed to incorporate proprietary file formats into TS-WAVE.

Other TS-WAVE 3.0 improvements include more intuitive menu navigation,
greater ease of graphics export for publication quality documents, improved
data zoom capabilities, more data analysis capabilities, and improved
documentation. In addition, a detailed technical white paper is available
for user function development.

TS-WAVE gives end users the ability to create and customize their own graphs
without the need for programmers. With the many additional enhancements in
version 3.0, we are confident that TS-WAVE will continue to "help customers
solve complex problems".
