A user would like to input the x and y values or latitude and longitude
information to move the cursor to the desire location on a image
displayed on the screen.
I was using TVCRS to move the cursor in a WIDGET_DISPLAY with
information entered by the user. This works great as long as the x- and
y-position are appearing on the screen. If the position is not showing,
then IDL seems to go into an endless loop and prevents any further
operations. The WIDGET_DISPLAY holds a 1024x1024 image, but the screen
only shows 800x600 with scroll bars on the GUI display to view the rest
of the image.
Are there WIDGET ways of moving the cursor? TVCRS doens't appear to be
designed to work in the Widget environment.
Should I be considering Object Graphics?
